The Priestess didn’t know why, but for some reason the thought of the man wanting to know her name excited her, and made her heart squeeze in an almost
farmiliar way.

“You don’t have to bow or anything, it was just by chance that I ended up with it..” she smiled politely up at him, “ah, it’s Hino.. Rei Hino..” It made her happy though, having someone thank her, or even talk to her without being labelled anything like a freak or creepy. Her every day life was pretty secluded and lonely at the shrine. It was as if she was trapped most of the time.

She had paused for a moment, unsure of what to say or do. Her social skills were lacking.

“And you..? You’re name?”

[Mamoru]

He nodded sheepishly. “Ha alright.” He said holding the back of his head and, taking the wallet from her. “Rei, huh? What a pretty name.” He said with a soft smile. He had never seen her around the area before today. Meeting her was quite a pleasant surprise. He had seen college girls and models and, yeah they looked nice but, something about her just…intrigued him He wasn’t quite sure what it was but, he knew that he would probably be paying this shrine more and, more visits in the near future.

He looked up at her. “Hmm? Oh, me?” He asked with a raised he then smiled. “Chiba Mamoru.”

[Ami]

Ami felt uncomfortable pressed up against the rough bark of the tree in the temple. it was flaking off and irritating her skin, and yet she refused to come out from behind it, lest she ruin the moment the two people in front of her appeared to be having.

Ami could see the way the older man looked at the young priestess, and felt a sense of guilt that she’d watched a significant part of their encounter. She felt like she was rudely eavesdropping. It wasn’t a feeling she could help having. It made her feel terrible.

At the same time, she didn’t want to come out from behind the tree despite her discomfort because she didn’t want them to know what she’d heard. She rubbed her sweaty hand of her skirt nervously, waiting for them both to clear out so she could come out without bothering them.

(Mamoru)

The sun had settled beautifully against the horizon as the sky began to darken behind the aquanett. Michiru pushed back a piece of hair that had fallen forward slightly while she walked silently by herself home. The streets were full of the finale errands being run for the day and the business people who were making their way home to their families.

As Michiru walked home, she held her school bag and violin in one hand as her free hand swayed back and forth lightly. The same as every day, but today, something felt…off. As Michiru looked around the buildings surrounding her, they looked different today. A small ping in her stomach made her think that something huge was missing. But what? She was in her finale years of high school and world class known violinist. What could be missing from that? She had everything she wanted…almost. Even though Michiru was known around her school for being silent and cold, and she didn’t mind often, but lately, she felt lonely. She felt as if there was people missing, but who?

As Michiru was coming up to her normal turn, she paused in front of the shrine she always walked past. Today, the shrine seemed to have a different vibe to it. Michiru stared up the stairs as she felt the pull of the shrine calling for her. She contemplated over obeying the feeling or just turning and going on home like normal. She looked between the two directions and let out a sigh and made her way up the stairs. It wasn’t like she didn’t have the time, she had no plans. Just to go home and make dinner and do her homework. Making a detour wouldn’t harm her and she had never been her before.

As she stepped on the last step, she glanced up and looked in front of her. Many younger girls giggled and stood around the temple grounds. Some stared at her in awe and slight whispers could be made out. Not to far from where Michiru stood a quiet handsome man, a raven haired girl and not to far from them, a bluenette that hid behind a tree. Staring at the three caused a motion in her stomach and heart. She felt a small smile appear but couldn’t understand why. She never meet this people before, or so she thought, so why was she smiling?

She walked past them, keeping her head forward and made her way to the charms stand. She half-looked at them, only to show she was busy. But her mind was somewhere else. These people, this place, nothing seemed right but somewhere inside stated other wise. “Why is everything feel so off. Why did I feel a small, i don’t know, happy, feeling when I saw those three?”

She picked a random charm and read off the fortune. “Your life will change soon. Your past will show the future and every one who will be there will be presented to you soon. Make sure you realize who is on your team, and who will try to bring the future down.”
“Hmmm…interesting” Michiru whispered as she turned around to face the three she saw as she walked in. She looked back at her charm then back at them.
“Is this fortune already coming true?“She wondered to herself.

(Rei)

As he turned around with a laugh and, headed back home, he couldn’t help but remember that priestesses small smile towards him. He ran a hand through his hair and, headed back down those long steep steps ignoring the lingering the stares and giggles of some of the girls as they passed him.

As he made his way to the street, he looked back up and noticed a girl with aquamarine and a violin. She was strikingly lovely and, merely looking at her sent a shiver down his spine. But, he wasn’t attracted to her. No. This was more of an admiring type of thing. Though, as he looked up at her more and, more, he noticed that she looked younger than him not but much but, it was still noticeable. He also felt as if he knew her too. He had been having that feeling a lot lately. Perhaps it was lack of sleep? Maybe.

He snapped out of his reverie once he heard a dog bark across the street. He walked towards the crosswalk and joined the usual fifty or so people that stood there in the evening waiting to walk home. He sighed and shuffled forward as the light changed.

He chuckled bitterly at the irony. “Yeah.. I suppose it did..” He said softly as he sighed softly. It hurt him deeply when he thought back to that day. The day he rejected the one that he loved most for the a future that he didn’t even know if he wanted or not. For a woman he didn’t even love. But, in the end it saved him so, he supposed. He love Fiore. Loved him more than anyone prior. He smiled warmly down at the other and, ran a hand through his light green hair. He smiled even wider into the kiss and, returned it with love.

“Of course I’ll stay with you. I love you too much in order to leave you..” He said gently. “I swear.” He said with a firm serious nod.

“I suppose I should thank you for that,” he mumbled absently, but nearly purred when the other man stroked his hair— he really loved that. Fiore soaked up the attention like a flower opening it’s petals to catch the sun and rain. “M-Mamo-chan?” He asked cautiously, “Are you sure you love me? I mean… I’m a man after all.”

His cheeks flushed a light shade of pink from the question, but it needed to be asked. After all, he’d been pretty sure the other man was fond of women. Could he have been wrong? His own trembling fingers reach up and comb through Mamouru’s dark hair, tucking it behind the man’s ear.

He pondered that. Did he really love Fiore? He wasn’t shallow enough to just say no because of his physical appearance or, his sex and, the way that Fiore made him feel well, even when he thought that he was in love with Usagi, he had never felt like that. Finally, he nodded. “Yes. Yes I’m more than positive that it’s you that I love.” He said, with a gentle smile. He kissed his forehead gently and pulled him closer into a tighter embrace.

He saw the way that the other blushed and, his smile widened. The blush made him look even cuter than he already was. He didn’t even think that was possible but, here he was. He closed his eyes and reveled in the other’s soft touch.
